Tertiary Filtration

AquaDisk®

Aqua-Aerobic Systems was first in the market, in 1991, to offer a cloth media disk configuration as analternative to conventional granular media filtration technologies. A history of exceptional operating experience and durability continues to make the AquaDisk® the tertiary filter of choice.

Features

  • Features the exclusive OptiFiber® cloth filtration media
  • Each disk has six lightweight, removable segments for ease of maintenance
  • Fully automatic PLC control system with color touchscreen Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Low hydraulic profile
  • Available in painted steel, stainless steel or concrete tanks

Advantages

  • Vertically oriented cloth media disks reduce required footprint
  • Higher solids and hydraulic loading rates
  • Low backwash rate
  • Low life-cycle cost

Applications

  • Municipal Recycle/Reuse
  • Phosphorus Removal
  • Deep Bed Filter Retrofits

Aqua MiniDisk®

Aqua-Aerobic Systems is well-known throughout the wastewater treatment industry for its complete line of pile cloth media filtration systems including the original AquaDisk® and AquaDiamond® filters. The tradition continues with the Aqua MiniDisk® filter featuring OptiFiber® pile cloth media. This filter is designed to provide economical treatment of smaller flows with the added advantage of retrofitting existing traveling bridge sand filters.

The modular design of the Aqua MiniDisk filter retrofits neatly into existing 9 ft. (2.7 m) wide concrete traveling bridge filter basin, providing more than two times the hydraulic capacity of the original sand filter.

Aqua MegaDisk®

The Aqua MegaDisk® tertiary filter “expands” on the reliability and exceptional performance of the original AquaDisk® filter, but on a larger scale. The Aqua MegaDisk offers larger diameter disks and fewer mechanical components than the AquaDisk filter. The result is the smallest footprint available, operating in 80% less space than sand filters with comparable hydraulic capacity.

AquaDiamond®

The AquaDiamond® cloth media filter is a unique combination of two proven technologies; traveling bridge and cloth media filters. The result is two to three times the flow capacity of a traveling bridge filter within an equivalent footprint, making it ideal for sand filter retrofits.
